A native of Rotterdam, Holland, Carla Tracy, who has been greatly influenced by her compatriot, Vincent van Gogh, immigrated in 1962 to Jacksonville, FL. She participated in the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center’s “Art for the Ages” program (2006-07) and has continued to study with the talented teacher, Sarah Barber, cousin of the late Gene Barber. She began her studies with Julie Holmes of the Murray Hill Art Center, working in watercolor. As a member of the Pablo Painters, Carla has expanded her creativity to include pastels and acrylics. With her varied background she brings a distinctive touch to her art. Her work may be viewed at the Pablo Gallery, which is located in the lobby of Pablo Towers and is open daily. It has also been on display at the Beaches Branch Library in Neptune Beach, the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center, and The Players Senior Center in Ponte Vedra Beach.
