About Art Walk

The North Beaches Art Walk is a monthly event orchestrated by the North Beaches Art Walk Association, a non profit organization 501 (c)(3) based in Atlantic Beach, FL.

Since its beginning in October of 2007, the North Beaches Art Walk has continued to receive positive support from the community, and has an ever-growing list of participating merchants and artists. Spread the word - and hope to see you at the next Art Walk!

As a non-profit, NBAW strives to support other local non-profits. We allow one non-profit a month to set up an informational table in front of Archway Gallery to promote themselves, and to sell art as a fundraiser.  (More Details)

Jennifer BlockerThis is an 11x17 inch abstract painting of a butterfly. Bright yellow, green and purple circles make up the wing. The background is a swirling light blue sky. Black was used to outline all the circles in the wing, and all along the body.

Bio: I am a military wife and a mother to a beautiful little girl. I’ve been painting ever since I can remember. Art class was the one class in high school I would go to even when I was sick. For my grade 12 final project I painted an 8 foot tall naked man (could only see his butt) with a dragon tattoo that came alive onto the wall of the school. It was approved before it was painted, but a few months later they were forced to paint over it because of some parents complaining.

This is an 8x10 inch acrylic abstract painting of a butterfly. Bright colors like pink, orange, blue and green make up the wing. The butterfly is against a black background with spirals and bubbles, also in black, along the edges of the wing and inside the wing.I love to use bright colors and simple designs to make the colors stand out more. My paintings may look simple, but many hours go into each piece. I prefer to use acrylic paint. I find it easier to blend and get the detail I want.
