About Artwalk

The North Beaches Artwalk is a monthly event orchestrated by the North Beaches Artwalk Association, a non profit organization 501 (c)(3) based in Atlantic Beach, FL.
Since its beginning in October of 2007, the North Beaches Artwalk has continued to receive positive support from the community, and has an ever-growing list of participating merchants and artists. Spread the word - and hope to see you at the next Artwalk!

As a non-profit NBAW strives to support other local non-profits. We allow one non-profit a month to set up an informational table in front of Sticky Fingers Restaurant to promote themselves, and to sell art as a fundraiser. Contact Linda Stewart at Archway Gallery & Framing for more details.

I always aspired to be an artist and live by the sea with lots of pets. For the last twenty years I have shared a little hideaway in the swamp with countless creatures, wild and tame. The ocean is just across the road. My happiest hours are spent outside, listening to birds and playing with paint. My craft is a form of recycling. Always on the lookout for potential treasures, I haunt thrift stores, rummage sales, and roadsides. I also do custom work for those who wish me to transform their own pieces.
After cleaning, repairing, sanding and priming, the real creative fun begins. My imagination takes over. Inspiration comes from dreams, music, mythology, and the magic of Mother Nature. It is the forms of the pieces themselves which seem to suggest a particular design. Each one has a story to tell. Some bloom with gardens or awaken as animals. Others lend themselves to the motifs of ancient cultures. I inevitably get swept away as my subjects come to life. The result is a one-of-a-kind creation meant for some special person. When that person comes along I feel almost like a proud parent. Therein lies the real reward.
