About Art Walk

The North Beaches Art Walk is a monthly event orchestrated by the North Beaches Art Walk Association, a non profit organization 501 (c)(3) based in Atlantic Beach, FL.

Since its beginning in October of 2007, the North Beaches Art Walk has continued to receive positive support from the community, and has an ever-growing list of participating merchants and artists. Spread the word - and hope to see you at the next Art Walk!

As a non-profit, NBAW strives to support other local non-profits. We allow one non-profit a month to set up an informational table in front of Archway Gallery to promote themselves, and to sell art as a fundraiser.  (More Details)

After my husband and I retired in 2003, we moved to Sebring, Florida where I started taking classes in acrylics.  After a couple of years I was eager to try watercolors because I have always loved the light and airy look of watercolors.  It is my primary medium at this time.  I particular enjoy painting close-ups of animals and flowers.  It is a great outlet, provides much enjoyment, and has helped make many wonderful friends.

I am a founding and charter member of The Artists’ Group of South Florida Community College in Avon Park, Florida located in the historic Jacaranda Hotel. Working with six other artists to develop a community education program to teach art to adults was both challenging and rewarding. It was wonderful to be able to paint with such talented people, share ideas, and receive encouragement.

In 2009 we settled in Jacksonville due to my husband’s health and be near the Mayo Clinic, which has been very instrumental in the recovery of his health. I am ready to get back into the groove.
